Sony PSP-3000

It is now official, folks! Sony just announced its PSP-3000, offering a couple of revisions over the PSP-2000. Does it come with a better joystick? Nope. How about a built-in SSD? You can forget about that, along with dreams of a hard drive. The only two changes are a built-in microphone and an LCD panel that is touted to work ‘better outside with no glare’. Well, will we see the Phoenix Wright series being ported over to the PSP since you can now shout 'Objection!' into the microphone? I don't think so, but this indicates that voice-based communications will play a role in the PSP-3000 in due time. No idea on pricing, but will you make an upgrade to this model if you already own a PSP?

Sony PSP E3

Sony’s new handheld gaming console, the much-remourd PSP Go, has leaked ahead of its official E3 2009 launch. Bearingquite the resemblence to the fan mockups seen during the ongoing rumors, the PSP Go will have 16GB of flash memory, Bluetooth and a memory card slot (no word on which type).

Sony Unveils Bendable Screens

Sony is once again the forerunner of innovative technology. This time they have come up with a 2.5-inch display for cell phones and other handheld gadgets that is only .01-inch thick and bendable. Still in development, researchers are trying to make it larger. The screen is a combination of the company’s organic thin film transistor, which creates the flexible display, and an organic electroluminescent display. Other companies, such as LG Phillips and Seiko Epson are also working on “electronic Paper” technology.

USB Card Does Voice Recording as Well

The Card R Voice Recorder definitely makes audio recording easy since it comes in the same form as those card-sized USB flash drives. With up to 1GB of internal memory, you will be able to store approximately 3 full days’ worth of audio before the Card R Voice Recorder runs out of space. An integrated USB connector makes transferring files easy, and with USB 2.0 connectivity, data will be sent over in a snap. Great for students who are starting to get in the groove of things, as well as journalists who tend to let their attention drift elsewhere during an important interview. It is currently available in Korea at point of publishing, so I guess you’ll have to import one if you want it.

Samsung SS700

It's a camera... and a frame. If you think about it not-very-hard, you'll realise that you spend most of your time squinting at small versions of the pics you take on your camera anyway, as you perplexingly wait just as long to drag the snaps off your digital camera as you ever did to get the film developed. This takes away that last, lazy step and simply uses the bulky part of the camera as a kickstand for a digital photo frame.

Canvas Laptop Concept

The creative brain of designer Kyle Cherry has had a go at reinventing the laptop, with the specific needs of 'creative' users in mind. Keeping the design clean and simple so artistic efforts are unhindered, auxiliary controls sit outside of the keyboard area and include a four-way navigation joystick. He envisages it being a touchscreen device with a configurable screen, skinny and attractive enough to make even a MacBook Air look twice. Of course, it's just a flight-of-fancy design, but after a glance at the gallery you too will be wishing it was a real machine.

iWish Portable Gaming System Concept

The iWish portable gaming system concept takes the Sony PSP and Apple iPhone and packs it into a portable gaming system. Too bad this concept probably wont make it to store shelves. One more pic after the break.

Touchscreen Universal Remote

What sets this touchscreen universal remote apart from others, aside from the fact that it's just a concept...for now, is it allows users 'to change the television's volume to turning on the oven or dimming the lights.' No word yet on availability.

Sony Mp3 Player for All Ages

The latest Sony MP3 player features a simplified interface with keys that are clearly laid out and raised. There is a high contrast screen, with light text on a dark background, making it easy to read. Available in 4GB to 8 GB of storage space, the gadget also features FM radio. Sadly, it is only a concept that was created by Damien Crossan.

A Computer with 3 Screens

Ever wondered where those James Bond villains — with their lairs full of high-tech gizmos and get their computer gear? After seeing this the Radius 320 monitor, I have to think one of their suppliers is Seamless Display. The company, founded by engineers from Oxford University, combines three LCD screens into a single display with triple the area. Need to refer to a photo while you write a report with a browser at the ready? No need to put application windows in behind others when you've got this baby — just drag them over to one side. Unlike other attempts at merging screens, the Radius uses special lenses to keep the display continuous between panels, except for a "very faint" shadow of a line. The result is a 50-inch (diagonal) screen with a massive resolution of 4,800 x 1,200 pixels that you can use with any machine —
